Foggiest tournament day ever

Today it was incredibly foggy. We heard rumbles of thunder on #1, but had no rain once we teed off. The highlight of #1 was watching Rolfe totally chunk his drive. On #2, we two putted from 20 feet. Then we birdied #3, #4, #6 and #7 even though we often couldn't see the pin due to dense fog. Then on the back we had three back-to-back birdies on #14 (long putt from Eric), #15 (technical chip-in putt from the fringe by Rolfe) and #16 (nice putt from Rob).

We all contributed shots on the way to starting the tournament at 7-under par, and Rob was definitely "on" with his putting.

In sad news, Mary Ann -- our "mom" at Benona Shores -- passed away this Thursday. She will definitely be remembered by us all. We're wearing ribbons in her memory during tomorrow's round.
