Today's weather was nearly perfect - a bit chilly in the morning but otherwise blue sky and sunshine. We missed a lot of putts from reasonable distances today, and shot 4-under par. Had we been playing really well and putting, we could have dropped at least 4 more strokes.
So... We end the weekend at 11-under, which almost certainly will be no where near the best score for the tournament. The low score yesterday by a team was 11-under -- the same as our two-day cumuative -- so we have no shot. We birded #4, #8, #11 (Rob on his own with a stellar shot) and #14. We hit a lot of greens but did not make many putts.
To recap the weekend: We didn't have stellar play, we got rained out at #13 at The Hemlock, the fish were not biting at all, we found out that Mary Ann had passed away, gas prices are at an all-time high (my gas cost as much as my golf for the weekend), Dave and I lost 8 games of euchre in a row, and Rob had flatulence that could have knocked a buzzard off a sh*t wagon.
All in all, though, it was an excellent time -- despite some of the negatives -- and I think we all needed it more this year than ever before. The only question now is: How many days until the Fall tourney?
