It's time!

Well, I figured it was about time we brought this bi-annual golf outing into the 21st century... previously, we had a web page set up for the Benona golf outing, but that was just too hard to keep up, and only one person could make changes. Plus our web hosting site completely lost the 2000 page. But now, with the advent of weblogs, it's much easier to keep up to date and keep a rolling commentary going.

So... this is the first post of what I hope will be many posts from each of us: Rolfe, Dave, Rob and Eric.

Right now, we're all waiting anxiously for next Thursday to arrive, when we all meet up at Stony Lake before heading off to The Thoroughbred to play our first round. It's been an eventful spring... in fact, Rolfe and Stacy just had a baby this week! Baby Eli weighed 9 lbs 14 oz! Congratulations to Rolfe, Stacy, Lindsay, and Thomas on Eli's birth!

Stony Lake

The cottage where we are staying this year is very close to Stony Lake, and is walking distance to the ice cream parlor and the Stony Lake Yacht Club where they have deep fried asparagus! We formerly stayed at the Silver Sands Motel, which wasn't a bad place to stay and had a decent hot tub and cable TV. Then in the mornings after our early round of golf we'd have breakfast at the Sands Restaurant.

In years past, we have often stopped by Craig's Cruisers to race in the go-carts. The slick track rocks!
