''Weather'' You Believe Them Or Not

Here’s the WWW weather roundup as of today. It's not looking as good as yesterday's forecast, and most of the forecasts seem pretty certain that it's going to rain at least part of Friday and a good share of Saturday as well. Click the links to get the most current updates.

The Weather Channel says:
Friday: 40% of rain (high of 77°F)
Saturday: 40% chance of rain (high of 67°F)
Sunday: 30% chance of rain (high of 69°F).
Ominously, their "golf index" for those days has dropped from 9 to a 6 on Friday, and from a 7 to a 6 on Saturday. They formerly said Friday was the best day to golf, and now they are saying that Sunday is the best day. (See Dave… and you’re going to spend most of it driving!)

Wunderground’s forecast hasn’t changed much:
Friday: 30% chance of rain. Chance of storms or showers from 11am to 10pm. Scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms after 10pm,
Saturday: 30% chance of rain. Scattered thunderstorms or showers in the morning. Afternoon chances of showers.
Sunday: Cloudy but dry.

Accuweather had the best forecast yesterday but is now looking grim:
Friday: Times of clouds and sun with a shower or thunderstorm possible in the afternoon.
Friday night: Mostly cloudy with a couple of showers possible late. High: 78°F, Low: 55°F.
Saturday: Times of clouds and sun with a shower possible; not as warm.
Saturday night: Partly cloudy. High: 69°F, Low: 52°F.
Sunday: Intervals of clouds and sunshine with a shower. High: 68°F.

The NOAA site says:
Friday: 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, high near 79. W/SW wind 13-16 mph.
Friday Night: 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, low around 60. N/NW wind 10-15 mph.
Saturday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, high near 68. NE wind between 11 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, low near 55.
Sunday: Partly cloudy, high near 72.

From this, it sounds like it could be a breezy weekend too. Breezy and potentially very wet. Oh boy! Let's all cross our fingers and hope that the forecast models are way, way off!

Personally, once I am done packing I plan to practice at the Weather Channel's online golf game, where you can set the conditions up to resemble what you are going to experience at the course.
