I'm packing for Benona. I answered, rolling my eyes slightly.
Why are you packing already? She queried, a note of disapproval in her voice.
Because it's Benona, my love. I said, with not a bit of sarcasm.
Wouldn't you have time to pack tomorrow? She wondered aloud.
Wouldn't you like to stop bugging me now so I can focus? I wondered, silently. Sure, I said (aloud), but then I might forget something important, like fishing poles or beer or a tie-dye t-shirt or Dave's cooler or my digital camera.
And would that be so bad? She asked, beginning to annoy me.
It would be tragic. I replied, shaking my head sadly.
